What does off peak heat do for me as a home owner?

The home owner's heat bill is significantly reduced, sometimes by 50%! What happens is your utility provider offers you a reduced rate for electricity if you have a gas/fuel backup system. The utility provider cycles your heating system from OFF PEAK electric heat to gas/fuel backup heat as their electrical usage goes up or down. So air source heat pump, plenum heater, and OFF PEAK electrical rates = 25% - 60% reduction in heating bills.
